Hertfordshire, 17. Oktober 2019 – Heute gaben KOEI TECMO Europe und die Entwickler GUST Studios brandneue Details zu den erweiterten Handlungssträngen ihres kommenden JRPG FAIRY TAIL bekannt, das 2020 auf Nintendo Switch ™ und PlayStation®4 erscheint.

Die bezaubernde Handlung von FAIRY TAIL umfasst dem von Fans favorisierten Tenrou-Island-Arc, dem Grand-Magic-Games-Arc und dem Tartaros-Arc sowie weitere Episoden aus dem ursprünglichen Kanon, die auf Hiro Mashimas meistverkaufter Manga- und Anime-Serie mit demselben Namen basieren. Die Handlung des Spiels konzentriert sich auf die Zeitspanne etwa in der Mitte des Anime und dreht sich um den baldigen Niedergang der FAIRY TAIL-Gilde nach der mysteriösen Abwesenheit von Natsus Gruppe. Das Ansehen der Gilde ist in den Jahren seit ihrem anscheinendem Tod gesunken, und sie versinkt in Schulden. Zum Glück sind Natsu sowie seine Magiercrew zurück und bereit, FAIRY TAIL durch Teilnahme an den Grand-Magic-Games und den Wettbewerb um die Top-Gilde wieder in seine Glanzzeiten zu versetzen. Die Geschichte beinhaltet Natsus Handlung, in der er Hades in einem actionreichen Showdown begegnet, Erza, die mit Kagura von Mermaid Heel gegen Schwerter antritt und atemberaubenden Kämpfen gegen die dunkle Gilde Tartaros. Außerdem können Original-Episoden gespielt werden, um die Bindung der Charaktere zu verbessern und gleichzeitig einzigartige Szenen im Spiel freizuschalten.
Um bei der Suche zu helfen, wurden zwei neue spielbare Charaktere angekündigt. "Der Eisen-Dragon Slayer" Gajeel Redfox und "Die Regenfrau" Juvia Lockser schließen sich Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet und Wendy Marvell auf ihrer heldenhaften Reise an, um die FAIRY TAIL-Gilde wieder zu altem Glanz zu verhelfen. Während des Spiels akzeptieren Magier Jobs von der Anfragetafel in der FAIRY TAIL-Zentrale. Oft führen diese Aufgaben zu Kämpfen, weshalb Charaktere ihre Angriffe mit anderen Gruppenmitgliedern abstimmen müssen. Sobald die Aufgabe erledigt ist, melden sich die Spieler bei der Gilde zurück, um Belohnungen zu erhalten, darunter Geld, Gegenstände und Gildenruhm. Der Rang der Gilde variiert je nach Ruhm und steigt von D zu S - je höher der Rang, desto herausfordernder die Mission, aber damit sind auch größere Belohnungen verbunden. Erhöhe die Ränge, um die herausforderndsten Missionen in dem mutigen Streben zu meistern, die größte Gilde in Fiore zu werden.
