KOEI TECMO Europe und Entwickler Omega Force stellen zehn weitere Charaktere vor, die dem epischen Kampf im Taktik-Actionspiel Samurai Warriors 5 beitreten. Samurai Warriors 5 erscheint am 27. Juli 2021 für Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 (spielbar auf PlayStation 5 dank Abwärtskompatibilität), Xbox-One-Konsolen (spielbar auf Xbox Series X|S dank Abwärtskompatibilität) und digital auf Steam.
Die heute vorgestellten Samurai-Warriors-5-Charaktere beinhaltet zehn zuvor nicht-spielbare Charaktere, die ebenfalls im einzigartigen Grafikstil gehalten sind. Sie sind weder Teil der Hauptgeschichte noch verfügen sie über einzigartige „Power Attacks“ oder weitere Features, die die anderen, bereits vorgestellten 27 Charaktere besitzen. Nichtsdestotrotz handelt es sich um erbitterte Kämpfer, die nicht unterschätzt werden sollten.
Neu dabei sind unter anderem Nobunagas jüngerer Bruder Nobuyuki Oda und Motonari Mōris Enkel Terumoto Mōri. Weitere historische Persönlichkeiten sind Motonobu Okabe, Katsuyori Takeda, Motoharu Kikkawa, Dōsan Saitō, Yoshitatsu Saitō, Yoshiaki Ashikaga, Yoshikage Asakura und Fujihide Mitsubuchi.
KOEI TECMO bestätigt darüber hinaus, dass Samurai Warriors 5 auch nach Veröffentlichung eine Reihe von DLCs erhalten wird, einschließlich neuer Szenarien, Musik-Sets und Pferde.
