Munich, Germany, August 16, 2013 – European publisher ProSiebenSat.1 Games and Koch Media reveal that the previously announced box version of the successful first-person action game PlanetSide 2 is now available from retailers throughout Europe at a price of € 9.99. This edition is on offer in addition to the free download version and provides the buyers with a high financial added value.

The retail version of PlanetSide 2 contains the complete main game in its current state with all the updates and expansions that have been released so far. Moreover, the retail version offers players in-game bonuses worth more than 40 euros, including a particularly attractive exclusive golden machine gun for each of the three empires, a seven-day +50% XP booster and a three-day +50% XP booster for a friend. Buyers of the retail version also receive 1,000 SevenCash – equivalent to approximately € 8.99 – to purchase useful in-game items and premium items in the PlanetSide 2 marketplace. PlanetSide 2 at gamescom
The trade fair gamescom 2013 will take place in Cologne, Germany, from August 21 through August 25. On the gamescom showfloor, ProSiebenSat.1 Games will again be presenting the 2013 line-up jointly with the Electronic Sports League (ESL). PlanetSide 2 will be playable for all visitors at a free gaming area in hall 8, booth C-050. From Friday to Sunday, gamescom visitors will also be presented with the latest developments for PlanetSide 2, including the new swamp continent of Hossin, via live stream in the ESL Show on the ESL stage.
