KOEI TECMO Europe und Entwickler Omega Force kündigen heute vier neue Charaktere für das Samurai Warriors 5-Universum an, wodurch sich die Gesamtzahl der spielbaren Kämpfer auf 27 erhöht. Das taktische Actionspiel - das in der legendären Sengoku-Zeit spielt - wird derzeit für Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4 Computer Entertainment System (spielbar auf PlayStation®5 via Abwärtskompatibilität), die Xbox One-Konsolen (spielbar auf Xbox Serie X|S via Abwärtskompatibilität) und Windows PC via Steam® entwickelt und wird am 27. Juli 2021 in Europa erscheinen.
Zur Feier der Enthüllung der neuen Charaktere hat KOEI TECMO einen brandneuen Trailer veröffentlicht, in dem die detailreichen Krieger vorgestellt werden, die für den neuesten Blockbuster des Franchise komplett überarbeitet und neu interpretiert wurden.

Die heute angekündigten Samurai Warriors 5-Charaktere umfassen vier neue historische Kämpfer sowie einige überraschende Variationen der beiden Hauptcharaktere, welche die Hauptstory des Spiels vorantreiben. Zu den vier neuen Charakteren gehören der Kusarigama-Experte und Anführer der Iga-Ninjas, Sandayū Momochi, der Ninja-Schwertmeister Hattori Hanzō, Magoichi Saika, ein professioneller Söldner, der sich nicht für das Konzept von Gut und Böse interessiert, sowie der berühmte Samurai Yasuke, der als Nobunagas Gefolgsmann dient. Zusätzlich zu den vier neuen Charakteren enthüllte Omega Force zum ersten Mal, dass sowohl „The Demon King" Nobunaga Oda als auch Mitsuhide Akechi, der Gefolgsmann der Familie Oda, als erwachsene Versionen spielbar sein werden - einschließlich Nobunagas professioneller Schwerttechniken und Mitsuhides furchteinflößenden Kombinationsangriffen mit Luntenschlosswaffe und Schwertklinge!
