Vertigo Games, the VR specialist publishing and development arm of the global Koch Media Group, today kicked off the Frontrunner Season for their 4-player co-op VR action FPS After the Fall. The first content drop of the season is Horde Mode, followed by more content in the upcoming months. The Frontrunner Season is free for all owners of the game. Following its launch on December 9, 2021 on Meta Quest 2, PlayStation®VR and PC VR, After the Fall continues to be a supported title with more content in the pipeline. Starting off with the Frontrunner Season, After the Fall also gets a physical edition on PS VR that’s scheduled for launch on March 25. This physical After the Fall - Frontrunner Edition grants players automatic access to the Frontrunner Season as well.

The Frontrunner Season has begun
After the Fall’s Frontrunner Season has officially started today with the launch of two Horde Mode maps; the Junction and the Highway, and the new revolver. Following this are the ‘Boulevard’ Harvest Map, the ‘Free-for all’ PvP mode, the ‘Stockpile’ PvP Map, the new ‘Skimmer’ enemy and the player outfits in March. For April, Vertigo Games plans to add more equipment to After the Fall, such as consumables, devices and special skins.
In Horde Mode, up to four Harvest Runners will deploy to a contained area where Snowbreed come running down from all sides, all the while they will have to survive for as long as they can. Vertigo Games introduces this game mode as an endless Horde Mode. Alongside this update is the Horde-Mode unlockable revolver.
The update for March brings the new Harvest Map ‘Boulevard’, which is added on top of the five existing Harvest Runs and becomes playable in all existing difficulty modes. To spice up the Harvest runs, the new special Snowbreed The Skimmer will drive players to hunt him instead of being hunted on. Also coming in March is the ‘Free for all’ PvP mode and in the new Stockpile PvP map. As a part of this PvP update, there will be Harvest rewards for the top players in each match. Introducing the player skin system, Harvest Runners will be able to select their preferred look as well.
For April, the player arsenal will expand with new weapons, items and weapon skins, so players can choose their loadout to face the Snowbreed with.These items include two additional weapons, new consumables and combat devices among others.
With intense 4-player co-op and crossplay (PC VR, PlayStation VR and Quest 2) at its core, After the Fall offers action-packed co-op gameplay, built from the ground up for VR. Starting out in a shared space with up to 32 other players across all platforms, players venture out into the remains of post-apocalyptic LA in squads of four, wielding weapons with real-life movements. To stay ahead of their enemies, players scavenge the undead-infested VR world, with new discoveries lurking around every corner. When they’re ready, the competitive Tundradome PvP arena and endless hordes in Horde mode awaits them.
Developed by Vertigo Studios Rotterdam (Arizona Sunshine) and published by Vertigo Games, After the Fall - Launch Edition is now available on Quest 2, PlayStation VR and Steam for an SRP of €39,99, with a Deluxe Edition on PlayStation VR and Steam for an SRP of €49,99.
