Dans The Chant, Jess Briars participe à une retraite spirituelle au beau milieu d’une île isolée. Elle doit alors tout faire pour tenter de survivre face à des créatures prismatiques, relâchées après qu’un chant rituel a mal tourné, en ouvrant un portail vers une dimension cauchemardesque appelée « L’Obscurité ».
Cette dimension, qui se nourrit d’énergie négative, rend tout le monde fou en s’attaquant aux peurs et aux inquiétudes de chacun, mais aussi en se manifestant à travers des créatures inter-dimensionnelles.
Tout n’est pas perdu ! En levant le voile sur les mystères d’une secte New Age des années 70, tout en renforçant son mental, sa santé et sa spiritualité, est-ce que Jess pourra inverser le chant et éviter d’être prise au piège pour l’éternité dans l’Obscurité ?
