코흐 미디어는 브라스토큰(Brass Token)에서 제작하고 프라임매터(Prime Matter)에서 배급하는 사이키델릭 공포 게임 신작 ‘더 챈트(The Chant)’를 최초로 공개했다.
사이키델릭 공포 게임 신작 더 챈트는 현실의 한계를 산산이 부수는 정신세계의 어두운 면을 생생하게 그려낸다. 더 챈트는3인칭 싱글플레이어 호러 액션 어드벤쳐 게임으로 PlayStation 5와 Xbox Series X|S, PC 기반으로 올가을 출시될 예정이다.
멀리 떨어진 아름답고 고요한 섬의 자연 속에서 깨달음과 평온을 얻고 힐링하는 것보다 더 좋은 것이 있을까? 외딴섬에 있는 한 영적 종교 단체를 배경으로 하는 더 챈트에서는 아름다웠어야 할 영적인 깨달음의 순간이 한순간에 끔찍하게 변해가는 여정을 보여준다. 영적 단체 의식이 실패한 이후 ‘글룸 (Gloom)’이라고 불리는 악몽의 차원의 문이 열려버리고, 플레이어는 이 차원의 문에서 쏟아져나오는 수많은 프리즘적 공포에 맞서 살아남아야 한다.
글룸이라는 차원에서는 부정적인 에너지를 먹으며 사람들을 미치게 하고, 사람들의 두려움과 불안을 먹이 삼아 새로운 차원의 ‘존재’로 다시 나타난다. 플레이어는 정신과 마음, 몸을 강하게 가다듬으며 1970년대 뉴에이지 컬트의 비밀을 풀고 실패한 의식을 되돌려서 영원한 ‘글룸’의 차원 속에서 빠져나와야 한다. 이전에는 경험하지 못했던 사이키델릭 공포를 생생하게 체험할 수 있는 여정이 될 것이다.
