Capcom heeft tijdens de Nintendo Direct van 17 februari aangekondigd dat alle 32 arcadeklassiekers van Capcom Arcade Stadium nu als digitale download beschikbaar zijn in de Nintendo Switch™ eShop. Capcom Arcade Stadium brengt de spanning van de arcadehal naar Nintendo Switch, met drie verschillende pakketten bestaande uit 10 games die elk een ander Capcom arcadetijdperk laten zien. De collection bevat ook de free-to-download titel 1943 - The Battle of Midway - en een aparte add-on titel Ghosts 'n Goblins. Retro fans kunnen voor specifieke packs kiezen of een alles-in-één optie kopen met alle 32 games.
De drie individuele pakketten in Capcom Arcade Stadium biedt toegang tot klassiekers uit de jaren '80 zoals BIONIC COMMANDO en STRIDER, of bekende jaren '90 games zoals SUPER STREET FIGHTER II TURBO. Ghosts 'n Goblins zal beschikbaar zijn als add-on game. Spelers kunnen ook voor een alles-in-één pakket kiezen met alle 32 games, inclusief de drie pakketten van 10, de gratis 1943 - The Battle of Midway en de add-on Ghosts'n Goblins. Naast de release op Nintendo Switch zal Capcom Arcade Stadium ook naar de PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One en Steam komen. Om de terugkeer van de legendarische Capcom-serie te vieren zal de originele Ghosts 'n Goblins beschikbaar zijn als gratis add-on game voor Capcom Arcade Stadium voorafgaand aan de release van Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection op 25 februari. Na deze release zal de Ghosts 'n Goblins add-on game alleen beschikbaar zijn als individuele aankoop of als deel van het alles-in-één Capcom Arcade Stadium pakket.
Tijdens de Nintendo Direct werd ook onthuld dat Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection ook lokale co-op zal introduceren. Familie en vrienden kunnen nu samenwerken met Arthur gedurende zijn avontuur tegen het kwaad en de controle nemen over drie ondersteunende personages: Barry, die een schild kan maken; Kerry, die Arthur uit gevaar weg kan tillen; en Archie, die bruggen kan maken.
