Deep Silver en 4A Games lanceren vandaag met veel plezier de Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition – een radicale update die de kracht van Ray Tracing-capable GPU’s gebruikt voor een geweldige visuele upgrade. De PC Enhanced Edition is GRATIS voor iedereen die de originele game kocht via Steam, de Epic Games Store, Good Old Games en de Microsoft Store.
De Enhanced Edition levert Ray Tracing-functies, inclusief Advanced Ray Traced Reflections, en ondersteuning voor de veelgevraagde DLSS 2.0 op NVIDIA-hardware, die goed is voor scherpere details, verbeterde framerates en hogere resoluties. Deze update kwam tot stand in samenwerking met NVIDIA en verbetert onze innovatieve Ray Traced Global Illumination-technologie die bij de originele release van Metro Exodus elke lichtbron volledig Ray Traced maakte, en implementeert onze RT Emissive-technologie van de The Two Colonels-uitbreiding in de hele game.
Deze upgrade is zo ingrijpend dat als minimale specificatie een voor Ray Tracing geschikte GPU is vereist en deze editie wordt geleverd als een apart product. In plaats van een simpele 'patch' voor het basisspel wordt de upgrade aangeboden als een extra recht voor alle bestaande Metro Exodus pc-spelers.
Deep Silver en 4A Games hebben ook bevestigd dat op 18 juni 2021 een gigantische GRATIS Gen 9 upgrade verschijnt voor Xbox Series X | S, het alles-in-een-games-en-entertainmentsysteem van Microsoft, en het PlayStation® 5-computerentertainmentsysteem.
De Gen 9-versie van Metro Exodus draait op 4K / 60FPS met volledige Ray Traced-belichting op PlayStation 5 en Xbox Series X. De basisgame en DLC-uitbreidingen maken beide gebruik van onze baanbrekende Ray Traced Global Illumination (RTGI)-techniek en de Ray Traced Emissive Lighting-techniek die debuteerde in de originele release van Metro Exodus en de The Two Colonels-uitbreiding.
Op de next-gen consoles kunnen spelers profiteren van veel kortere laadtijden dankzij de SSD-opslagoptimalisatie van deze consoles. Daarnaast kunnen spelers genieten van 4K-texture packs en diverse platformspecifieke functies, waaronder ruimtelijke audio, controller-latentie-verbeteringen op Xbox, en ondersteuning van de haptische functies van de PlayStation 5 Dual Sense-controller.
Deze verbeteringen komen beschikbaar als gratis upgrade voor alle Gen 8-bezitters, of via de Metro Exodus Complete Edition – een nieuwe, fysieke editie voor nieuwe spelers die volop waar voor zijn geld biedt met niet alleen de basisgame maar ook de twee DLC-uitbreidingen: The Two Colonels en Sam’s Story.
