Capcom heeft gisteren in de PlayStation State of Play uitzending Exoprimal™ onthuld. Deze nieuwe IP is een op teams gebaseerde actiegame en zal op de nabije toekomst een prehistorisch grote impact maken. Stap in je robotpak, stop de dinosaurusinvasies en red de mensheid samen met de Exofighters op PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S en Xbox One, in 2023.
2040: De planeet verkeert in crisis. Dinosaurussen verschijnen plotseling vanuit de lucht en vernietigen steden over de hele wereld. Onder dreiging van deze dodelijke eeuwenoude wezens wordt de hulp van de krachtige Aibius Corporation en haar revolutionaire technologie ingeschakeld. De geavanceerde AI Leviathan kan voorspellen wanneer nieuwe dino-uitbarstingen gebeuren en daar Exofighters op af sturen. Met spiksplinternieuwe mechanische gevechtsuitrusting genaamd Exosuits, zijn deze strijders de laatste hoop voor de mensheid.

Exoprimal introduceert een nieuwe multiplayer-ervaring geworteld in co-op, maar met een competitief randje. In de gewone spelstand, Dino Survival, vechten teams tegen talloze dinosaurussen terwijl ze in 5v5 matches racen tegen de klok om missies voor andere teams te voltooien. Een dynamische mix van doelen houdt spelers scherp en zorgt ervoor dat elke nieuwe match anders is dan de vorige.
xofighters moeten hun hoofd erbij houden; hunts kunnen veranderen in vrachtleveringen of wanhopige standhoudingen tegen meedogenloze aanvallen. Andere teams kunnen zelfs de mogelijkheid krijgen om het rechtstreeks op te nemen tegen tegenstanders en hun voortgang dwarsbomen. Hoewel Exoprimal volledig gericht is op multiplayer is er een verhaal door de game geweven. Spelers kunnen hun tanden in de rijke geschiedenis en kleurrijke personages zetten door nieuwe verhaallijnen vrij te spelen en het mysterie achter de dinosaurus-uitbraken te ontrafelen.
Exofighters zijn altijd in de minderheid en moeten samenwerken om te overleven tegen deze overweldigende vijanden. De Exosuits zijn beschikbaar in verschillende classes, elk met hun eigen rol in gevechten. Assault-modellen zoals de scherpschietende Deadeye en de op melee-gerichte Zephyr zijn gespecialiseerd in het neerhalen van grote hoeveelheden vijanden. Aan de andere kant helpen tanks zoals de schilddragende Roadblock en support-types zoals de essentiële Witchdocter iedereen in leven. Elk model beschikt over een unieke bepantsering en speciale krachten. Spelers kunnen zelfs onderweg wisselen tussen Exosuits om elke extreme situatie te overleven.
