Riders Republic Skate Add-On Available To Play Tomorrow!

A new sport is joining the Republic. For the first time, Riders will be able to play the newest outdoor sports experience: skateboard. ​​​​​​​

Tomorrow, on September 27, Ubisoft releases the Skate add-on of Riders Republic™ and its new season: The Deck Skateboard Festival. The skateboard becomes the newest sport to join the engaging, multisport playground that is Riders Republic™.  With a variety of sports, from skiing to snowboarding, passing by biking and BMX, skateboarding now joins the ranks! With both solo and multiplayer gameplay available, players now have even more options to play and master their favorite sports. The new Skate add-on will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5*, as well as Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC, Amazon Luna** to access the game. The season patch will be available to download the day before, on September 26.

The skateboard culture will storm into the Republic with a dedicated new area, new career, sponsors and brand-new gameplay.

  • New area – The Deck, located in Brice Canyon, is composed of 6 main districts.
  • New career – 4 stunts, 15 events and 3 new sponsors.
  • New gear – New outfits, new shape, 50 predefined skateboards decks, bolts, wheels, and marker elements.
  • New tricks – 44 new tricks.
  • New replay mode – Players will be able to capture more spectacular footage of their best lines!

Free Weekend
Players will also be able to test out the skateboard for free at launch and during the Free Weekend:  from Thursday, September 28 to Monday, October 2, Riders Republic™ is free to play for anyone. The Free Weekend will be available on Sony, Microsoft and PC (Ubisoft Connect and Epic). Players will have a chance to play the base game as well as try out the new skateboard sport through the demo and some Live Area events. Progression will be kept if players choose to purchase the game after playing during the Free Weekend.

Editions and discounts

  • The Skate Edition will include the Base Game and Skate add-on.
  • The Skate Plus Pack will include the Skate add-on, Skate Cosmetics, the Hoverboard toy and the Ridge Ultimate Pack.
  • The 360 Edition will include the Base Game and the Skate Plus Pack (which includes the Skate add-on, Skate Cosmetics, Hoverboard toy, Ridge Ultimate Pack).
  • The Complete Edition will include the Base Game, the Skate Plus Pack (which includes the Skate add-on, Skate Cosmetics, Hoverboard toy, Ridge Ultimate Pack) and the Year 1 Pass.

Starting September 28th (discount calendar to differ from platform to platform), the Standard Edition will be heavily discounted at 75% off, reaching 10€. In addition, the new Complete edition will be 20% off, allowing players to get the full experience, including the new Skate Add-On. All platforms are expected to support these SKU promos, Steam included.
